Together with the critical issues that we all know well, the coronavirus emergency has made it possible to break down barriers that seemed impossible to overcome, prompting companies to make a leap forward in terms of telematic connection and remote work.
Many found themselves having to overcome the fear of abandoning the consolidated modus operandi and embarking on the path of remote inspections: the B.U. Hydraulic Systems has grasped the importance of this new approach and set up a remote testing station, equipped with a webcam.
In this way, it was possible to successfully complete the final test of a power plant for the energy sector, in the remote presence of two inspectors from the end customer and the concessionary body who proved scrupulous, but also particularly collaborative in supporting the carrying out all the activity. Although some checks by the inspectors via webcam took longer than expected, the balance of the experience is positive: Duplomatic MS is considering equipping the testing area with the station for remote assistance on a stable basis, also by virtue of the probable spread of this new testing method and the reduced inspection costs.
